Creating Career Connections

“Who you know” is just as important as “What you know.” Creating Career Connections, offers guidance, support, and facilitates informational interviews for women job seekers with other professional women in their field of choice.

Who should join:

This program is intended for all women job seekers but is especially helpful for those who have had difficulty in the job search process and have limited or no access to professionals in their industry.

Women who complete this short-term* program will have developed professional networking skills through one-on-one career guidance, employment resources, and will have had the opportunity to engage in conversations that help them achieve their career goals.

*4-6 touchpoints, timeframe contingent upon participant/volunteer availability. Women looking for long-term career development support should visit JVS SoCal’s WoMentoring program page.

What to expect:

  • Participants identify their most challenging obstacle to landing a job.
  • Participants receive guidance in the job-seeking process.
  • Participants get matched and meet up to 3 experts from their chosen field

By the end of the program, you will have the foundation of a long-term professional network and the ability to continue expanding it.
