The HR Associate will partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations of Human Resources and recruitment strategy as it relates to current and future recruitment needs, retention, and succession planning.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages the recruitment process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, background checks and hiring qualified job applicants; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducting and analyzing exit interviews and recommends changes.
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Provides support to HR team, management, and other staff.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, recruitment management, employment law, and new technologies in Human Resources.
  • Assists with Benefit Plans Administration.
  • Conducts onboarding implementation with new staff.
  • Inform applicants about job details such as benefits and conditions.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting new hire onboarding and training programs through HRIS.
  • Advise management and new staff on policies including mandated Anti-Harassment training to ensure compliance.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organizations at hearings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be comfortable working independently, and making decisions, and as a member of a strong HR team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolutions skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and recruitment management systems.


  • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • In lieu of degree, 4+ years of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

  • Office environment: Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. Will require travel to site visits and attend out of office meetings. Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
