Program Description:
The P2E program is operated from the America’s Job Center of California (AJCC) intended to support, guide, and assist incarcerated and justice-involved individuals re-enter society in the labor force.


Job Description and Duties:
The duties listed below are intended only as illustration of the various types of work that may be performed.  The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment. 

This Social Enterprise Coordinator/Job Developer will initiate, maintain, and develop employer relationships with the purpose of placing Prison to Employment (P2E) clients in paid internship/paid work experience and ultimately living wage jobs.
The Coordinator/Job Developer will develop employment opportunities primarily through recruitments and working closely with Career Coaches in finding employment for job ready clients.
The Coordinator/Business Services Representative may be responsible for developing and conducting group format workshops. The Coordinator/Job Developer makes between 10-20 cold calls per week to perspective employers. Conducts presentations to various groups/businesses as it pertains to job placement goals and partner agencies.
The Coordinator/Job Developer will also coach participants on interview skills, facilitate job readiness workshops and assist clients in writing targeted resumes as needed.
The Coordinator/Job Developer must maintain records and update case notes in the state database. Must meet contract goals for job placement, training completion and job retention.
Other duties assigned as needed for the efficient operation of the Center/Program.  Must meet weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly program goals as set by Program Supervisor.  Must attend county, local, or company trainings and/or meetings.

Qualifications and Position Requirements:
Proven track record in business-to-business sales in a performance driven occupation. Must have experience in sales. Demonstrated track-record of collaborating in teams. Requires excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Requires the ability to understand labor market information and employer requirements. Must be very comfortable and be able to cold call, network, and open new business. Public speaking and presentations are mandated. Must be highly organized, detail orientated and work within time restraints and deadlines. Work flexible hours, early morning, evenings and weekends may be required. Knowledge of WIOA common measures and requirement are a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be assertive, friendly and willing to work flexible hours to meet objectives and goals.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Will work in an office environment, travel to employer and client work sites. May be required to work some evenings and an occasional weekend. Must be able to operate standard office equipment. Requires traveling to various business and other work sites.

Welcomes customers and identifies customer needs and expectations to create a positive customer experience. Meet and exceed performance and outcome goals as set by the county funding agency and abide to contract requirements.Follows labor market trends to identify industries or occupations with growth in openings and employment potential. Provides referrals to community partner/agencies/resources as necessary.

Qualifications and Position Requirements:
Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with stakeholders in written and oral form, including electronic media, using positive interpersonal skills. Prior experience with high-risk populations including individuals with criminal and justice involved systems helpful. Skills in facilitating groups, writing resumes, and working with diverse population is useful. Ideally, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Workforce Development or career counseling. Knowledge of CalJOBSSM system very helpful.

Must be detail oriented and be able to write clear, concise, professional case notes. Must be able to read and write effectively to be able to follow and understand procedures when communicate necessary information (excellent organizational skills). Must be flexible, reliable, dependable, and able to work in a TEAM environment. Ability to use good judgment, interview techniques and interpersonal skills.

Education/Certification/Licensure
BA preferred or 3 or more years of related experience.

Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish or other community-based language.
