Alumni Legacy Society

The JVS Scholarship Program supports Jewish undergraduate and graduate students attending schools and universities nationally. Since its founding in 1972, the JVS Scholarship Program has awarded over $8.5 million financially need-based scholarships to more than 4,600 students.

Named Scholarships

Establishing a named scholarship is a meaningful way to remember a loved one, or to honor a relative, friend or associate. The minimum yearly donation for a Named Scholarship is $2,200. Named scholarship supporters are acknowledged in the Awards Program and are invited to and recognized at the annual JVS Scholarship Awards Reception, where they have an opportunity to meet the recipients of their Scholarships.  They also receive periodic updates from their students.

Alumni Giving Recognition Levels

To recognize the generous financial support of our loyal alumni we have founded the JVS Alumni Legacy Society and have established the following “Donor Recognition Giving Levels.” Placement in the respective levels is based on cumulative donations.

Trustee’s Club   Donors $2,000 and up

Benefactor         Donors $1,000 to $1,999

Fellow                  Donors $500 to $999

Mentor                Donors up to $499

No matter the amount you are able to give, your gift will have an immediate and meaningful impact and will, along with other gifts, help to fund a JVS Scholarship for a deserving student.

Thanks to your generous support, we raised enough funds for four scholarships for 2018-19 academic year.  With your help, we can award four or more scholarships for deserving students for the 2018-2019 academic year.
