Tom and Robbi's Fund Drive
To overcome poverty in our city, JVS Los Angeles is empowering individuals to achieve dignity and economic independence through sustainable employment, providing hope and economic opportunity for all.
JVS Los Angeles currently serves over 30,000 clients annually at 18 sites throughout Los Angeles County, offering more than 40 life-changing programs. They provide job training, career counseling, mentoring and placement services to diverse and multicultural populations that include working poor, unemployed and underemployed veterans, women, refugees, disabled, and at-risk foster and probation youth.
Our goal for the JVS end-of-year fund drive is $10,400 toward which Robbi and I have donated $3,000. We chose this amount because it represents a very special goal: $5,200 will fully train an individual for a new career in banking, healthcare or apartment maintenance industry and then help them find full-time employment–all without student debt. In a city with so much wealth and so much poverty, it’s a blessing to be able to help an individual turn their life around.
We invite you to click on the infographics below our photo to learn more about the profound impact these programs have in our community.
Please help us make a difference in someone’s life. The Return-on-Investment will be many times the donation.
With love and thanks, Happy Holidays!
